Year-Round Mentorship for Growth and Empowerment

At Girls Gist, mentorship is more than just advice—it’s a lifelong relationship. Our program provides continuous support through bi-weekly workshops that target both soft and hard skill acquisition, character building, and the sensitization of real-world problems.

Through these workshops, we empower girls to:

Hydroponics

Learning about hydroponics as an alternative method of farming.

Computer Coding

We raised awareness and received a grant from Project Feed who provided 10 laptops to teach the girls coding using scratch

Creative Workshops

We facilitate regular workshops for the arts (writing, poetry & music)

We show global examples of project implementation of various UN SDG Goals by youth all over the world to inspire and sensitize the girls on their responsibility to bring positive impact to their communities.

We believe God has called us to be a beacon of light in a world that can sometimes feel very dark, especially for the girls in our community in Nigeria.

It is our mission to offer them hope, to guide them, and to help them see the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

Mentorship, to us, is like a guiding light on the journey of growth and development.

For young girls trying to find their way in today’s fast-paced world, the right support can make all the difference. We see it as our purpose to help create an environment where these girls can discover their talents and potential.
